I’ve Got a Story
When I was just a young child, we all would gather ‘round
To hear a story told.
Now that I’m a grown-up, I still can be found
Because I’m not too old
To hear a story: I want a story now!
My family all would listen as my Granddad told a tale
About his childhood days,
Or maybe it was Mom, when she would tuck me into bed
There were so many ways
To hear a story: I want a story now!
I want a story… I want a story now.
I want a story… I want a story now
Tell me a story… I— I want to hear...
So listen to the storyteller, sit right here up close
And I will take you all
Somewhere that you can see just like a movie in your mind
Imagination calls.
I’ve got a story… I’ve got a story now.
I’ve got a story… I’ve got a story now.
I’ve got a story… I’ve got a story now.
I’ve got a story… you… come on and hear…
